Little Glitters daycare was introduced to me by a fellow parent when I took my daughter to a park and was discussing daycare options with every other parent I met there. The first thing the other parent told me was that Lakshmi, the caretaker is extremely good with the kids and feeds the kids well. That is enough for me to immediately schedule an appointment and visit her place. As a first time mother, I was very anxious to leave my kid of 14 months old in the supervision of an unknown person. But when I saw how Lakshmi received my child and the warmth she has shown her during our visit, I decided at that moment to leave my kid under her care. 

 

In the nearly two full years in Lakshmi's care, my daughter has grown exceptionally well physically as well as mentally. Lakshmi is a wonderful cook and provided good homemade food for the kids for lunch and snacks. The surroundings are always kept clean as well. The helpers she chooses are also good and responsible for the kids. Coming to the activities, my daughter's growing social and cognitive skills are a testament to how well Lakshmi designs her curriculum for all-round development of the child. Lakshmi keeps learning, enhancing her own knowledge around child development which is another testament for her genuine interest in child care. 

 

I do not have anything to add or suggest to Lakshmi for improvements as such. But if I am compelled to give any feedback for improvement, I would ask Lakshmi to design more activities in her beautiful backyard during summer where kids can be close to nature while learning. 

 

Overall, I am a happy and stress-free mother when I leave Nigama with Lakshmi. My daughter is always excited in the morning to go to Lakshmi and there can be never a better testimonial than her bond with Lakshmi

"My son has been going to Lakshmi's daycare since he was 18 months old. I was extremely apprehensive about sending him anywhere because he has always been a very reserved and quiet kid. This has been one of the best decisions I've made. Since going to Lakshmi, my son has overcome a lot of his stranger anxiety and learned a lot from all the fun circle time she puts together. She is always trying to create fun activities for the kids that not just help them enjoy their time but also learn life-skills. Her daycare provides the comfort of home and a structured learning experience that is great for the kids as well as parents. There are very few daycares that provide such a comfortable learning atmosphere for toddlers. Once he is through that door, I never have to worry about him being cared for through Lakshmi or the girls that help her out. She is extremely open to feedback and getting parent's consent and input into what they'd like their kids to focus more on or learn more about. There are learning themes for the month, there are daily lesson giveaways, crafts that the kids worked on that they bring back, badges that they can wear or display etc. I treasure all of these for my son because these lessons pretty much form the foundation for how much they enjoy learning about new things, and how well their curiosity about everything around them is built and addressed.

 

I really commend Lakshmi for putting in so much effort to making sure kids learn, have fun, and come home even more curious than before.

My son started going to Lakshmi’s daycare when he was 14 months old. He is 3 yrs old now and still continues to go to her. We have had a very good experience so far and my son loves going to the daycare. He has learned a lot and Lakshmi keeps it very interesting for the kids by teaching them about a new topic each day. In addition to that, the kids get to eat delicious food and enjoy all the festivities. I like the fact that we get to see what the kids do each day through the videos that Lakshmi shares diligently. We are so happy we found Lakshmi’s daycare/preschool for our daughter. The moment I met her and saw the school environment, I knew my daughter would be safe with her. Safety is always a parents highest concern. The school offers safe, clean, nurturing, home-like, kind and flexible environments for kids. Lakshmi is fully in charge of her class and the kids love and respect her. She takes a lot of efforts in planning and conducting daily kids’ activities. Photos and videos are shared with all parents on a daily basis, which makes you feel connected with your child throughout the day. She provides healthy homemade food and snacks and makes note of kids with food allergies so she can accommodate them. She is always available to talk with parents or give feedback as required. Lakshmi is considerate, understanding and a solid teacher.

 

The classroom environment is set up to allow the children to try different activities where their interests lie for example table work, books, dress-up, building toys, outdoor activities etc. The environment helps kids develop appropriate skills according to their interests. The subordinate teachers are kind and patient with all children. Kids are happy and joyful and interact a lot with each other through different activities. My child goes to her daycare happy and clean and comes back home the same way, which is a huge blessing. The school respects that most families have two working parents and seems to offer a schedule reflecting that, which is a big plus for working families. At the same time, the school is professional and expects parents to adhere to its policies.

 

My daughter has been with Lakshmi for two years since we moved to the bay area. Overall I would give her and the daycare/preschool a five-star rating. This preschool earns my highest recommendation.​

I have been sending my son for almost two years. I am so glad we choose Lakshmi's daycare. Lakshmi is very friendly and caring. We are impressed by the continual communication we receive daily through the phone about the activity they are doing, lessons they are learning. She sends videos daily. We love it. Lakshmi's creative way of teaching kids is amazing. She has a monthly curriculum on different topics. I'm constantly amazed by how much my son learns while there and it's happening in a friendly atmosphere focused on having fun. Lakshmi has a wonderful schedule throughout the day with exciting activities and good home-cooked meals and snacks. She prepares special meals for the kid's birthdays. We get a chance to eat yummy snacks once in a while 😀

There are frequent special exciting activities throughout the year and parties for moms. We get to know all the kids and parents. The helpers are great and extremely caring. The helpers seem to know what your child needs at any given moment. To me, it seems as though they are in tune with your child to understand the child and their needs. I never have to worry because I know my son is in great hands while he's away from me. I strongly recommend Lakshmi daycare. Waiting for my second kid to send!!
